Discharge testing

Discharge testing of a new geothermal well is the process through which well parameters such as steam flow, brine flow, enthalpy, wellhead pressure and power output are determined. After discharge testing, the well parameters are known and the well can be used for either direct use or power production. These parameters are critical in the design of steam gathering systems, power plants and reservoir management.
