Registration of suppliers is the process of identifying and obtaining a list of prospective providers of a specified category of goods, works or services. Sec 71 (1) of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2015 requires GDC to maintain and continuously update lists of registered suppliers, contractors and consultants in various specific categories of goods, works or services according to its procurement needs for the purpose of inviting them on rotational basis for subsequent tendering proceedings such as request for quotations or restricted tendering, that may arise during the period of listing.
