The Suswa Geothermal Prospect has an estimated potential of 750MW which will be developed in phases. The first three phase will develop a total of 300MW, with each phase developing 100MW.

An initial Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) was conducted in 2013, resulting in the issuance of license by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). However, due to subsequent environmental, social, legal, and policy changes, an updated ESIA study was conducted in the year 2024-2025.
