Uganda seeks GDC’s technical assistance in geothermal capacity building

Officials from the Uganda Geothermal Project under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD), visited GDC Kawi House offices to discuss areas of collaboration.

GDC received a request from the Uganda Geothermal Project team to visit GDC training facilities. This follows GDC’s response to a request for a proposal (RFP) to facilitate capacity building in Geothermal Drilling from Uganda’s Ministry of Energy.

The visit is part of the due-diligence for the procuring entity for the services sought. The team comprised of three experts led by team leader Mr. Vincent Kato. Others were Ms. Specioza Mukazi and Kefa Odongo from Mineral Development (MEMD) of Uganda through the Africa Geothermal Centre of Excellence (AGCE).
