Power regulator, Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) visited the Menengai Geothermal Project and has given it a thumbs up for the progress made so far. ERC Commissioners and Directors toured the Menengai Geothermal Project for a familiarization exercise of the project.
According to the ERC Ag. Director General Mr. Pavel Robert Oimeke, the project progress in Menengai is commendable and it will greatly contribute towards the achievement of Vision 2030.
“The development progress in the Menengai field is marvelous; what we saw is amazing. Indeed GDC has done a commendable job,” said Omieke. He added that the regulator will support GDC in all ways and that its doors are open for consultations and information sharing.
The GDC team that received the ERC delegation was led by the Central Rift Regional Manager Mr. Paul Ngugi, flanked by the North Rift Regional Manager, Mr. John Lagat. Several senior management staff also attended the event.
