Science field – Geochemistry
Define Geochemistry.
It is the Chemistry of the earth. I carry out sampling and analysis of thermal fluids sampled from the earth’s interior.
Describe your day in the field
My day involves the sampling of the geothermal fluids. Gases are collected in gas flasks while the water samples are collected in watertight bottles. Then there is an immediate analysis of the collected samples and treatment of the samples for later analysis in the laboratory.
