Shale shaker

A shale shaker, located on a drilling rig, separates the rock cuttings from the drilling fluid. Once processed through the shale shakers, the drilling fluid is deposited into the mud tanks for re-use in the drilling process, The cuttings are moved from the discharge port into a separate holding tank for further treatment or disposal.
