The all-lady Queens of the Dust crew of Pauline Sheghu and co-driver Linet Ayuko continued their charge at the Safari Rally Kenya after successfully clearing the opening stages.
With Ayuko calling the pace notes and Pauline navigating dust, rocks, and punishing terrain, the crew says their mission remains clear — finish strong and secure a podium place come Sunday.
“This rally is tough. Yesterday I drove at night, and the mixed conditions of wet tracks and dry patches posed a real test for us. Our focus, however, remains the same — to put this car on the podium. That is the dream, and we are giving it everything,” she said.
Pauline has completed the shakedown and day one of the rally and now tackles day two, which sees crews navigate the Soysambu, Elementaita, and Sleeping Warrior stages.
The penultimate stretch takes crews through the Hell’s Gate section before the rally concludes with the awards ceremony at the same venue.
Pauline thanked GDC for its unwavering support, saying, “You are my number one supporter. I won’t let you down.”
This is Pauline’s fifth Safari Rally appearance, with the experience fueling her determination to go even further.
