GDC’s Pauline Sheghu and Kenya Pipeline Corporation’s Linet Ayuko are officially enroute to the WRC 2026 Safari Rally.
Flagged off by the Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Hon. Opiyo Wandayi, EGH alongside Principal Secretary Mr. Alex Wachira, CBS, the duo will represent the energy sector at this year’s global motorsport showpiece, a highlight on the World Rally Championship calendar.
GDC has backed the initiative with an injection of KSh 250,000 towards Pauline’s campaign, a show of support and its commitment to nurturing in-house talent and elevating the sector’s visibility on a global stage.

CS Wandayi praised the duo’s determination, noting that their participation reflects the resilience and precision that define Kenya’s energy industry. On his part, PS Wachira said their presence on the WRC platform shows that Kenyan energy professionals have the power, skill and drive to compete confidently at the highest level.
Pauline welcomed the support, saying it strengthens their resolve ahead of the demanding Safari Rally stages. “We are proud to represent the energy sector and ready to give it our best,” she said.
With engines revving, the energy sector now has a team on the world stage, a powerful fusion of technical expertise and competitive grit.
