Baringo County Governor H.E. Stanley Kiptis on Monday, August 10, 2020, paid a courtesy call to GDC MD & CEO Eng. Jared O. Othieno in his Kawi House office in Nairobi. The two deliberated on ways in which GDC and Baringo County can partner to enhance the development of geothermal resources<\/a> in Baringo, an area mapped out as one of the richest in geothermal resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GDC is has been undertaking geothermal exploration drilling<\/a> at the Paka Prospect in the Baringo-Silali Geothermal Project and is now anticipating the commencement of explorations at the Korosi Prospect, the other prospect within the project. The Baringo-Silali Geothermal Project has an estimated geothermal potential of 3,000MW.
This was the Governor’s maiden visit since the appointment of Eng. Othieno to the helm of GDC’s leadership. Baringo County is a key GDC stakeholder. GDC values all the stakeholders who continue to support the Company as it strives to achieve its mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
