The future of GDC continues to look brighter with increased projections of revenue streams, according to Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Paul Ngugi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking in a meeting with the Geothermal Advisory Board (GAB) in Nakuru, Mr. Ngugi expressed optimism that the organisation’s pillar of self-sustenance is taking shape. He noted that power plants being developed in Menengai and Paka will significantly boost GDC’s financial outlook. Additionally, GDC’s ongoing efforts to onboard strategic partners are expected to strengthen the company’s financial position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, Mr. Ngugi highlighted that the insights and recommendations from the Geothermal Advisory Board are invaluable in refining operations and ensuring long-term success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The weeklong deliberations have seen diverse experts engage with GDC on several topics, ranging from drilling<\/a> to well-sighting and project development. “The Geothermal Advisory Board has been instrumental in our progress. As an independent entity, GAB provides invaluable insights that enhance our research initiatives, streamline operations, and boost efficiency. GAB challenges our biases, oversights, and ensures that we all retain the same scientific, social, and engineering perspective,” Mr. Ngugi added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following roundtable discussions, GAB and GDC experts conducted field tours of GDC projects to gather crucial insights that will inform their recommendations on operations. The team visited the Menengai Geothermal Project, reviewing key aspects such as the steam<\/a> field, drilling<\/a>, and power generation. During the visit, they also witnessed the discharging of Menengai Well 36 (MW 36), which was recently drilled.<\/p>\n\n\n
