I am an Information Scientist. In the geothermal field, I hold a crucial role where I manage databases, employ GIS for data interpretation, drive innovation in exploration technology, and actively contribute to knowledge dissemination through publications and collaborations at GDC.

How has it been working with GDC? What has challenged you?

Working with a Geothermal development company has been fascinating as it involves a unique blend of geology, engineering, and environmental science. The challenges primarily revolve around understanding complex geological processes, optimizing data collection methods, and integrating diverse datasets for effective decision-making. Additionally, ensuring data accuracy and reliability in such dynamic environments poses ongoing challenges. Overall, it’s a rewarding experience that constantly pushes me to expand my expertise and problem-solving skills.

What guidance would you give to girls interested in pursuing Scientific Careers?

I would advise girls interested in pursuing a scientific career to seek out mentors and role models in their field of interest. It’s important to connect with others who have already achieved success in the scientific community and can offer guidance and support. Additionally, I would encourage them to pursue their interests wholeheartedly, and not be deterred by any potential obstacles they may face. It’s also important to seek out educational and networking opportunities and to stay curious and passionate about their chosen field of study.
