GDC participated in the second Energy Journalism Excellence Awards (EJEA) held last night at Nairobi’s Safari Park Hotel.
The event was graced by Ministry of Energy & Petroleum CS Hon. Charles Keter, Ministry Principal Secretaries Eng. Dr. Joseph Njoroge and Andrew Kamau.
GDC MD & CEO Eng. Johnson P. Ole Nchoe also attended the gala, as well as several GDC managers and MOEP Parastatal heads.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Keter said that the Ministry welcomes journalist transparency and urged journalists to tell Kenya’s energy story objectively, “Communication is the link between the Ministry and the people of Kenya,” he remarked.
For the Geothermal Power Generation category, the award went to Aby Agina of KTN. David Herbling of Business Daily won the overall Energy Journalism Excellence Award for the second year running.
