  • New GDC chief warns against corruption


    GDC staff who engage in any form of corruption will be sent home, the MD & CEO Eng. Johnson Ole Nchoe has warned. Speaking during an interview in his office on Friday, Eng. Nchoe said that procurement of goods and services will be conducted in line with the revised procurement law that took effect recently. Eng. Ole Nchoe said that GDC will fast-track projects in support of the government’s target of generating additional 5,000MW of geothermal power.

    • New GDC boss vows to tackle corruption head on


      The newly-appointed GDC MD & CEO Eng. Johnson Ole Nchoe has vowed to battle graft in the company. Eng. Nchoe has indicated that a series of measures were being designed and implemented to check corruption. “I want all to know that there will be zero tolerance to corruption at GDC. Any staff engaged in that will lose their jobs,” he warned. Eng. Nchoe also indicated that he will fast-track geothermal production to boost staff morale.

    • Baringo Land Deal paves way for the Baringo-Silali Project


      Baringo Residents have granted GDC access to some land that was holding the completion of a legal opinion to KfW which is an important step in accessing the KfW funding.

      This land deal paves way for the commencement of the first phase of the Baringo-Silali project which seeks to generate 200 megawatts in January 2016.
