Kenya Geothermal Conference 2011 (KGC 2011)

Call for papers

The Organizing Committee of the Kenya Geothermal Conference 2011 (KGC 2011), operating under the auspices of the Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK), invites submission of papers for the2011 Kenya Geothermal Conference to be held on 21-23 Nov, 2011 in Nairobi, Kenya. The theme of theconference will be“Geothermal: The Energy to Power Kenya Vision 2030”.


The KGC2011 conference will feature distinguished international speakers, Scientists and Engineers working on geothermal fields in Kenya as well as in the East African region.  The conference will also provide opportunities for exhibitors toshowcase their projects, equipment and services.There will be field trips to the Olkaria and Menengai geothermal projects.

Papers should be aligned to the following categories:

3. Power Generation and Transmission

4. Reservoir Engineering and Management

5. Steam field development

6. Direct Use

7. Environment and Social Issues
