CRA impressed by GDC operations
Friday, September 15, 2017-The Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) has applauded GDC on the company’s operations in line with delivery of green and affordable energy to Kenyans.
During their recent tour of Menengai and Baringo-Silali Geothermal Projects, Commissioners from CRA said they were impressed by what GDC has done so far and the plans it has put in place to achieve its mandate. They applauded GDC’s integration with communities in its areas of operation and acknowledged that this will not only enhance a conducive working relationship but will also enhance capacity building among the regions. The delegation was drawn from the Natural Resources Management (NRM) department of CRA which is tasked with natural resource policy formulation and reforms.
The purpose of the visit by the commissioners was to assess geothermal development in the Rift valley and explore modalities of collaboration and exchange ideas geared towards sustainable natural resources development for revenue enhancement within the region. They promised to support GDC in its endeavors in achieving its mandate.
