How did you get into engineering/science?  I Studied Bachelor of Science and majored in Geology at the University of Nairobi.

The most memorable moment in your engineering/science journey at GDC?  Carrying out exploration in Silali was an awesome experience.

What is the future of geothermal energy in the world?  Geothermal energy is here to stay. Green energy is the energy for the future.

What message would you send to young women thinking of taking up engineering/science courses and careers?  Female students should not shy away from technical subjects. It is the best option for a country that needs to industrialize with women being at the forefront.

What is your mantra in life as a woman in science?  My mother, because she believes science and engineering hold solutions to all our problems.

Which woman in Science do you admire most?  The late Prof. Wangari Maathai.

Why do you admire her?  She was fearless, fought for what she believed in and she was one of the greatest women in science. Her academic life was grounded in science.
